Art After the Internet: Artists’ Studios and Gallery Production

In the first roundtable, an emphasis was placed on the historical precedent and personal experiences of property and planning associated with the creative sector; before looking forward to consider current models for artistic and creative resource provision. The needs and demands placed upon artistic and creative space in the capital were discussed with the aim of developing a range of different research propositions concerning the field of studio provision and creative workspace.
Art After the Internet: Art of Production: Social and Collaborative Forms of Technological Dissemination

In the second roundtable, the community and cultural value that contemporary forms of workspace provide were considered. The social effects of recent technological advances were examined as to how they can be better implemented in the planning and development of studio and workspace provision. How new creative communities are attracted to technological expertise, effective workspace provision and mixed-use developments were explored.
